About the Role

Kawsang is an implementation partner in the project of USAID Enhancing Quality of Healthcare Activity (EQHA) II is a five-year project (October 23, 2023 – October 22, 2028) led by FHI 360 that aims to further improve and sustain service quality by strengthening a harmonized Cambodian high-quality health system that will lead to better health outcomes for all Cambodians.

EQHA II builds on the successes to date of the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) and development partners and aims at achieving three objectives:
- Improved evidence-based policy, guidelines, and strategies for more effective and efficient health systems
- Improved individual and institutional capacity of the public and private sectors to implement, monitor, and evaluate QA according to national standards.
- Improved individual and institutional capacity of subnational health systems to provide quality services to address emerging national program priorities.

We are currently seeking 3 qualified candidates with highly motivated and experienced Data Use and Rapid Data Maturity Assessment(RDMA) to join us on the data maturity assessment fieldwork and evaluation of the current data practices and capabilities of the individual and across vertical health programs. You will be responsible for a crucial role in supporting our Data Maturity Assessment Lead by conducting interviews, collecting data, analyzing findings, and contributing to the creation of actionable recommendations for quality improvement throughout the data improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the data maturity assessment protocol and framework.

  • Conduct one-on-one interviews and focus groups with stakeholders across various health departments of the vertical program to gather quantitative and qualitative data on data practices and challenges.

  • Collect and analyze quantitative data from relevant data sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Assist in the analysis and interpretation of assessment results, identifying key strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Contribute to the development of concise presentations and reports summarizing the assessment findings and recommendations.

  • Work collaboratively with the Data Maturity Assessment Lead and cross-functional teams to develop quality improvement throughout the data improvement initiatives aligned with the health programs/departments, and project goals.

  • Maintain documentation of the assessment process and findings.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for data quality, data security, and data governance principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data analytics, statistics, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with data, ideally in a data analysis or data quality role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build reports with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Experience conducting interviews, and collecting quantitative and qualitative data is a plus.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization) preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent organizational with result-oriented and time-management skills.
