About the Role

Kawsang is an implementation partner in the project of USAID Enhancing Quality of Healthcare Activity (EQHA) II is a five-year project (October 23, 2023 – October 22, 2028) led by FHI 360 that aims to further improve and sustain service quality by strengthening a harmonized Cambodian high-quality health system that will lead to better health outcomes for all Cambodians.

EQHA II builds on the successes to date of the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) and development partners and aims at achieving three objectives:
- Improved evidence-based policy, guidelines, and strategies for more effective and efficient health systems
- Improved individual and institutional capacity of the public and private sectors to implement, monitor, and evaluate QA according to national standards.
- Improved individual and institutional capacity of subnational health systems to provide quality services to address emerging national program priorities.

We are seeking a qualified candidate with a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join us and lead the impactful health project. You will be responsible for the overall aspect of the program’s implementation, planning, executing, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation of the health status all across the program to ensure it aligns with the program objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, including work breakdown structure, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

  • Manage project stakeholders, including program staff, senior management, funders, community partners, and health programs/departments.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across project stakeholders including lead organization, implementation partners, and department of the vertical health programs, and disciplines.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of program activities and interventions.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, challenges, and issues and proactively communicate with all relevant stakeholders with an initial idea to unblock any unpredictable challenges, and issues that arise during the implementation and ensure the actionable solutions are applied appropriately.

  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders following the scheduled deliverable.

  • Monitor, and track the health status of the project progress along with established performance metrics and KPIs.

  • Prepare progress and completion reports and present them to stakeholders across implementation partners and vertical health programs.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable project regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and donor requirements.

  • Build relationships and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment with all relevant stakeholders.

  • Advocate and present the program's goals and objectives to all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Certificate or bachelor's degree in project management, public health, healthcare administration, or any related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex projects, preferably in the healthcare or social services sector.

  • Proven track record of success in delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge/practicing agile methodology and the project management tools/platforms is desirable.

  • Be a person who is flexible, dynamic, and result-oriented.

  • Knowledge of advanced Ms. Excel/Spreadsheet is a plus

  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods and tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, Stata, or any other are desirable.

  • Experience working with healthcare programs, diverse populations, and health coverage plans and communities is desirable.
