Digital Scorecard Adaptation for Strengthening the Voice of Women Garment Workers (SVW)

The project facilitated the use of a mobile and computer-based monitoring tool (digital scorecard) that enables women workers to voice their assessment of services and working conditions provided by factory management.

The digital scorecard aims to create more accountability and increase the responsiveness of factory management to the needs of women workers. In particular the digital scorecard is a tool that enables women workers to assess the quality of services and working conditions such as a social protection, gender equality, nutrition, women’s health, sexual harassment and respect for worker’s rights.

KAWSANG  collaborated with three other local NGO partners – ACT, CWCC and CWPD to adapt for this project, an existing digital scorecard application used currently in CARE’s ISAF project.

This activity  also aim to collaborate and promote synergies with GIZ’s existing and similar ‘Our Rights App’. A coordination mechanism between the stakeholders will be established to avoid any duplication in its operation and outreach to garment factories.

Project Period: Sep - Dec 2022

Location: Cambodia

Funded by: GIZ via CARE Cambodia

Partners: Kawsang, CARE Cambodia
